Useful Resources around the world and the University

Resources at the University

People and resources related to Japanese studies are concentrated in the Nissan Institute of Japanese Studies and the Oriental Institute, but are also spread widely throughout the University, in a range of departments, the Ashmolean Museum, Pitt Rivers Museum and various institutes.  Likewise the library resources are housed principally in the Bodleian Japanese Library in the Nissan Institute building, with rare books and manuscripts held in the Bodleian Weston Library, and further resources in various parts of the University.  Library resources are a particular strength, with collections totalling more than 120,000 books, and superb online resources.
